The Development

The re-development and restoration of Tower Mews has been carried out in a sympathetic manner. Externally, windows and doors have been reinstated. The only new openings are formed with conservation rooflights in the main roof. Internally, every effort has been made to retain the character and detail of the original building.

Apartments 6, 7 and 8, which are located on the first floor, all benefit from double height spaces and retain the character of the chapel and prayer rooms. The heavy trusses remain exposed and are used to the visual advantage of the main living areas. The apartments are all characterized by the open-plan layouts and inherent airiness found in historic buildings of this nature.

The re-development is respectful to the building’s history and aims to retain and enhance the building’s fabric while at the same time, providing contemporary living for the 21st century.
